Deanna & Waldo Vega

Co-Creators of Turtle Clam Crab

Deanna Vega is a 20-year National Board Certified Special Education Teacher whose career has been shaped by walking alongside students facing behavioral challenges, learning differences, and often heartbreaking life circumstances. Through it all, she discovered a powerful truth: kids connect deeply with creative characters. That insight became the heart of Turtle Clam Crab.

Together with her husband Waldo Vega — the talented graphic designer and illustrator behind every creature in the TCC universe — Deanna has built a program that makes emotional regulation feel accessible, fun, and lasting. Their shared mission is simple: help every child find their way back to "Turtle."
